Operation saves Sulaiman's leg following fundraising campaign

sulaiman sesay after his operation

Sulaiman Sesay has had a major operation on his leg and amputation was avoided. 31 kind people donated just over £2,000 in only 3 days to fund the operation and the aftercare. Thank you.

Here he is in hospital in Freetown where his aunt takes him food every day. He will stay with her whilst he recuperates as his own home is unsuitable. Our lead volunteer Chernor is negotiating with his school principal so that he can repeat a year. We continue to sponsor Sulaiman's secondary education.

A special word of thanks to the trustees of The Williams Papworth Trust for a donation of £500 which took us up to our target.
